Kurt Shreiner is an EVP and President of the Corporate Financial Services division at SouthState Bank. The Corporate Financial Services division at SouthState includes the bank’s Treasury Management and Payments group as well as two client facing teams focused on Payment and Technology companies and Private Equity and Venture Capital firms located throughout the US.
Mr. Shreiner was a founder and President of Atlantic Capital Bank (2007) until the merger with SouthState in 2022. During his tenure at Atlantic Capital Bank, Kurt had responsibility for the bank’s national lines of business including Payments and Technology banking, Treasury Services, Private Capital Solutions, SBA, Franchise Finance, Capital Markets and Financial Institutions.
Prior to the start-up of Atlantic Capital Bank, Mr. Shreiner had a 20-year career at Wachovia Bank. He was manager of the bank’s London Branch from 1997 – 2001 and head of the Continental European International Corporate Finance team until 2005. Under his leadership Wachovia added branches in London and Frankfurt and an office in Paris that was a subsidiary of the bank’s securities company. Mr. Shreiner started his banking career in 1985 with Wachovia and held numerous positions in the bank’s corporate bank until moving to London.
Kurt is a graduate of Washington and Lee University and grew up in Chambersburg, PA. He has been an executive in residence at Juniata College in Pennsylvania and serves on several advisory boards for payments and treasury management.
Mr. Shreiner and his wife, Elizabeth, reside in Marietta, GA and have two grown sons living in Vienna, VA, and Manhattan.
