Dan Gutman is a distribution leader, tech evangelist and business strategist at Prudential Financial. He currently serves as Vice President of Platform Strategy & Emerging Distribution for Prudential Retirement and Life. In this role he leads Prudential’s relationships with fintech platforms with a focus on building integrations, enhancing the client experience and creating opportunities for distribution innovation. Dan also manages the Sales Execution Relationship Management Team and connects regularly with broker-dealer executives, industry associations and financial advisors in an effort to leverage technology to grow distribution.

Dan’s career has largely been focused at the intersection of technology and distribution. Most recently he held the role of Vice President of Strategic Relationship Management, where he managed Prudential’s key account relationships in the advisor channel. Prior to this Dan formerly held the role of Director of Sales Technology for Prudential where he provided value-added programs and in-market technology training to financial professionals and their customers. In this capacity, Dan would typically deliver 300-350 field meetings with over 10,000 attendees annually at conferences, educational forums and industry events throughout the country. Prior to this role, he served in various capacities within Sales, Digital Marketing and Business Intelligence for Prudential Annuities.

Dan holds a Digital Media Marketing Certificate from NYU and a certification in Salesforce.com Administration. Dan earned his bachelor’s degree from Brandeis University, with a double major in Economics and Business. He currently resides in the greater NYC area where he has a passion for playing music and runs a small charitable organization for Huntington’s Disease.
