Description

The general reluctance of large, global wealth managers to enter into the cryptocurrency space has been driven by, in part, client suitability risk, custody risk, market manipulation, and other threats. As a result, private clients interested in the space have funneled billions of dollars into cryptocurrency, outside the purview of their wealth managers, through exchanges and other challenger (nontraditional) D2C digital-first platforms such as Robinhood, PayPal, and others; leaving traditional wealth managers unable to holistically manage certain clients’ investment portfolios. Today, recently launched crypto-focused digital platforms that help financial advisors integrate crypto-assets into their traditional advisory models are coming into the market and proliferating.

The panel will discuss:

  • The pain points, challenges, and dynamically changing attitudes toward digital assets
  • New digital education platforms and service models
  • The value proposition delivered by these new crypto-focused digital platforms
  • Custodial integration solutions
