Paul Amisano is a Vice President at the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston, on the FedNow Product Management team. In this role, Paul is charged with setting the strategic roadmap to enable multiple use cases and value-added services, including the support of alias-based payments. Paul leads a team responsible for the planning, build, and execution of much-requested functionality, developing the sourcing strategy, and working with onboarding teams to ensure customer readiness. Paul works closely with partners across the bank, and coordinates with key policy and legal teams developing the operating rules.
Prior to joining the bank, Paul spent 14 years at Truist (formerly BB&T), where he last served as Senior Vice President in the Enterprise Payments Group. In that role, he drove the design and development of enterprise payment strategies, and evaluated opportunities to advance Truist’s payments capabilities and competitive positioning, including partnerships, investments, and acquisitions. He has served on the Payments Advisory Board for Zelle as well as several committees at The Clearing House and American Bankers Association.

Paul has a bachelor’s in finance from Binghamton University and an MBA from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He resides in Charlotte, NC, with his wife and two daughters.
