Rissi Lovern is the Head of Small Business Markets for TreviPay, a global B2B payments company, facilitating transactions for customers in over 27 countries and 18 currencies.  She has responsibility for developing and delivering innovative payment solutions for small business suppliers across the globe.

Lovern joined TreviPay in 2021 following the acquisition of her business, Baton Financial Services.  She founded Baton in 2018 to develop the financial industry’s first Small Business Supplier Payments Network.  In addition to strong venture-capital backing, Baton was fueled by Lovern’s 25 years of experience in small business financial services; her passion for the small business market, innovation, and technology, and a dedicated, talented team who shared those passions.  The company’s goal, which she continues to pursue with TreviPay, is to help small businesses grow.

In 1990, Lovern began her banking career at Hibernia National Bank, and in 1992 she had the unique opportunity to build a new line of business focused on the small business market.  During this time, she led her teams in developing and launching new lending products, building loan center production capabilities, and creating new soring technologies and risk management techniques.  In 1999, Lovern was appointed Senior Vice President and Head of Small Business Banking.

While leading Small Business Banking, Lovern served as a co-founding Board member of the Small Business Financial Exchange, a trade organization for the small business banking market that developed the first and largest aggregation of small business lending data.

By Capital One’s acquisition of Hibernia in 2005, Lovern had established and was leading a Business Process Management group for the bank.  With technology development teams and skilled business process consultants, the group focused on major process transformations in the areas of commercial lending, small business banking, deposit operations and payments.

Prior to founding Baton, Lovern was the General Manager of Equifax’s Commercial Business.  Joining Equifax in 2010, she was responsible for the profitable growth and strategic direction of Commercial Risk in the U.S. and Canada, and for developing the Commercial Enabling Technologies business.

Lovern holds a degree in International Trade and Finance from Louisiana State University and resides in the greater New Orleans area with her husband and two children
