Stan O’Marra is a pioneer in Data Management and Governance having served as the inaugural Chief Data Officer/Investments Data Officer for three distinct investment management organizations. He has devoted his thirty plus year career to transactional and analytical technology platforms in a variety of financial services firms and has led a number of large-scale data transformation programs which have resulted in improved analysis and reporting while streamlining operations and reducing risk.

As Chief Data Officer, Investments and Investments Data Officer at MassMutual and Invesco, respectively, Stan led Data Focused Transformations establishing the technology, organizations, and culture necessary for robust Investment Data Ecosystems and Governance. These efforts leveraged a variety of partners and technologies to build practical solutions delivering both long and near-term benefits. Leveraging cloud and hybrid cloud solutions, these benefits were gained while reducing the overall technology footprint. While serving as CDO for Artio Global Investors, Stan established Data Management and Governance structures which coordinated and controlled data from multiple partners, greatly mitigating operational risk.
