Kapil Bansal is Managing Director and Global Head of Business Architecture, Data Strategy and Analytics at DTCC where he has responsibility for setting the cross-product and enterprise data strategy and transformation for the firm, delivering industry solutions for institutional clients, and achieving DTCC’s resiliency and other strategic objectives.

Kapil has over 20 years of experience in the capital markets and financial services industry with a proven track record as a business executive. Prior to DTCC, Kapil held a number of senior business roles in the investment banking division at Barclays, where he led the strategy and development of the firm’s industry leading global derivatives clearing business serving over 150 global clients. He also led large-scale restructuring initiatives including the post trade services utility that provided solutions to large broker dealers and buy-side clients. Before that, Kapil held senior advisory roles at management consulting firms of Booz & Co. and McKinsey, where he assisted Fortune 100 clients on variety of business issues.

Kapil holds an M.B.A. in Finance with Distinction from University of Michigan, M.S. in Industrial & Systems Engineering from Rutgers University and B.S in Industrial Engineering
